The Location Walnut Garth is a self-catering holiday cottage set in the grounds of the owners property at the edge of Swinton village, yet close to an excellent selection of local amenities and attractions. We have attempted to create a home from home so that you can enjoy your holiday to the full. Walnut Garth is not liable to Flooding. The market town of Malton is only 2 miles away with main line rail connections to the ancient walled city of York and coastal towns of Scarborough and Whitby. The line also has links to Pickering Steam Railway. No matter what type of vacation you are looking for there is something to satisfy your tastes in North Yorkshire; castles, gardens, railways (old & new), museums, theme parks such as Flamingo Land, the Yorkshire coast has some of the best beaches, war memorabilia, physically challenging activities, walks on the North York Moors or through the Yorkshire Dales, local fishing or golfing, animal & horse farms, airplanes and a whole host of other activities. Perhaps after reading this list you need a little relaxation and that too is widely available with excellent views to feast your eyes upon and some good food to fill your stomach! Other attractions are detailed within the cottage and yet more are available from the local tourist office.
Set in the heart of Ryedale and the Howardian Hills, this two bedroom bungalow is furnished to a high standard. It is tastefully decorated in a modern style with a host of features designed with your comfort in mind. Please note, smoking is not permitted within the property. Maximum occupancy is FOUR and one infant. Child minder services can be provided by arrangement. Off-street parking is available for two vehicles. Facilities are available for one or two well behaved dogs with responsible owners. Dogs must not be given access to bedrooms or left unattended for long periods. Owners are requested to clear dog fouling from the gardens and orchard. There is easy access to fields at the rear of the cottage and many lovely walks. We ask that you respect and care for the property, leaving it as you would expect to find it. Please report any breakage, damage or maintenance requirement so that we may deal with it promptly. NB: The Cottage is NOT in an area at risk of flooding. There was flooding in Malton 6 years ago but we have not seen a repeat since the flood barriers were installed in 2005. Swinton is on high ground. Surrounding areas, such as Pickering and Helmsley may still be liable to flooding. Please check floodline for affected areas.
